November 6, 2006 Jacqueline Roose I have heard that buying a home can be a very stressful event. If one is 5,000 miles away, it probably will be even more stressful, yet my experience was just the opposite. From the very first moment I became introduced to Martine Heyer through e-mails, I found it so easy to communicate with her as to the home that I wanted to purchase. Martine gained my confidence immediately by obtaining answers to difficult questions relating to buying a property from such a long distance. Untiringly she researched each property I was interested in, taking photographs, describing the neighborhood and getting information on comparable sales. As I could not be physically present at the closing I had many questions. She found out about offshore notaries, power of attorneys and how the title company treated faxed signatures for me. Before preparing the offer, Martine was very helpful in giving me guidelines to use in order to make my offer most attractive to the seller. She presented my offer in a very professional manner, which included a personalized introduction to the seller emphasizing my interest in the property. Because of the time difference between Europe and California we had only a few hours in which we could speak each day. Martine made herself available to me at my convenience. I sometimes suspected that she got up in the middle of the night to read and answer my emails. In the end, I purchased my dream home within one month of initially contacting Martine. I would certainly recommend her services to family and friends in all their real estate transactions. Her energetic style and attention to detail, coupled with an amiable personality made her a delight to work with and resulted in a very contented client. |
